Kingsmen bring colour to the Crabshell Inn

The Kingsmen braved the windy conditions to perform their summer repertoire at the Crabshell Inn, Kingsbridge where they were founded back in 1991. One lady from Australia was particularly enamoured with the guys performance of 'Amarillo'.


All in all a great start to the summer 'sing out' season with more to come at Salcombe, Hope Cove, Crab Shell (again) and Plymouth's Barbican (o/s Ship Inn). Check our web site 'What's On' tab for dates and times.




SUMMER DRAW


We still have tickets available for our 'Summer Draw' which will be drawn at the Crabshell Inn on Wed 23rd August during our summer performance.


Great prizes including CASH prizes of £250, £100 and £50.


You can buy tickets at £1 each from any of our members or at our remaining sing out at Hope Cove AND on the draw night itself at the Crabshell Inn.


We are fund raising to improve and develop the chorus in a number of ways to enable us to continue to support the many local and national charities for which we have raised over £101,000 to-date...........

The concert, featuring three local community choirs - the Kingsmen, the Callington Community Gospel Choir, and the Plymouth Rock Choir is being held at The Guildhall, Plymouth, on Friday 8th September 2023.

Planning and promotional work is well underway for the concert Three Choirs – One Voice which is being held at The Guildhall, Plymouth, on Friday 8th September. The Concert is being held to raise awareness of and funds for BASICS Devon. BASICS Devon strives to be the county's leading volunteer pre-hospital immediate care charity.

The Road to Convention

With Sing2023 (the British Association of Barbershop Singers 49th Convention at Bournemouth) now only a couple of weeks away, the Kingsmen are putting the finishing touches to their two competition songs and getting ‘stage ready’ for their performance on Saturday 27th May.

The Kingsmen held their long awaited Annual Awards Evening on 8th March 2023 and Honorary Members, friends and family were all invited to celebrate the achievements and contributions to Chorus activities by this year’s Award Winners. For the past couple of years this much looked forward to event had to be postponed due to Covid lockdowns and restrictions.

Kingsmen celebrate success at the Saltash Music, Speech and Drama Festival 2023

February 13, 2023
2023 got off to a winning start for the Kingsmen with a fabulous performance at the Saltash Music, Speech and Drama Festival. Singing two wonderful songs – The Way You Look Tonight and I Believe, the Chorus came away with a mark of 88, a Distinction, ‘An excellent performance technically and artistically’.
